Assurance Manager Responsibilities (not an all-inclusive list):

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, Partners and staff
  • Provide guidance and expertise to audit team members and ensure audit procedures are followed
  • Collaborate to plan objectives and devise an audit strategy that appropriately addresses risk
  • Inspect accounting records and systems for efficiency, effectiveness, and use of accepted accounting procedures in record transactions
  • Prepare report of audit findings and audited financial statements
  • Manage risk and ensure quality control procedures are being executed
  • Identify and communicate relevant trends, developments and key performance drivers that will benefit the client and enhance the audit team
  • Consistently encourage the audit team to think independently and take ownership of their individual contributions
  • Keep abreast of accounting and industry changes to continually learn and share knowledge and information with team members that will enhance service delivery
  • Generate new business annually for new and existing clients

 

Requirements:

  • Six (6) years of recent public accounting experience, including supervisory or lead assurance experience
  • CPA license
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting (Master’s preferred)
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS and PCAOB rules and standards
  • Effective business advisory skills
  • Decisively identify and execute solutions to problems
  • Strong leadership, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy
  • Computer expertise including knowledge of audit –preparation software and an understanding of the impact of technology
